5th Indiana Neuroimaging Symposium and
Hackathon on Brain Connectomics

Hosted by Purdue University

November 3 (Symposium) & November 4 (Hackathon), 2017

Location: Stewart Center (STEW), Room 214, Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN

The Fifth Indiana Neuroimaging Symposium is a joint event by the Imaging Research Facilities at Purdue, IU School of Medicine. The goal of the symposium is to create a venue for researchers who use or who may be interested in using neuroimaging techniques to present new studies and techniques, build collaborations with peers from around the state and learn about neuroimaging tools and technologies.


Symposium Agenda

The Symposium will feature a data blitz session, a poster session with a student poster competition, and oral sessions on the following topics:

  • Cognitive Neuroscience
  • Advanced Imaging Techniques
  • Neurological and Neurodegenerative Disorders
  • Connectomics and Data Mining

In addition, we will host a Hackathon on Brain Connectomics on Nov 4, where participants will have the opportunity for hands-on experience analyzing brain connectomics MRI data.

New this year, we will also feature a Mini-Pulse Programing Course on Nov 4, allowing participants to get some hands-on experience in modifying a pulse sequence and implementing and testing it on the Siemens Prisma platform.

Abstract Submission and Awards

Abstract Submission Deadline: Friday, October 13, 2017

Abstracts for poster presentations should be less than 250 words in length. 
Please submit your abstract as email with the title "Neuroimaging abstract submission” to Dr. Goñi (jgonicor@purdue.edu) by October 13. 
The Organizing Committee will choose presentations for the Data Blitz from the pool of abstracts received

Awards:

  • 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes will be awarded for student posters
  • The best Hackathon project will be awarded
