The Purdue University Income Tax School programs are intended for tax professionals and are designed to provide up-to-date training on current tax laws and regulations. The two-day programs are held in ten convenient locations throughout Indiana. The program, which is revised and updated annually, provides an in-depth review of a number of tax areas and coverage of newly enacted laws, regulations, and procedures. Practical information for filing individual and small business tax returns is stressed. A 5-hours in-depth Agricultural Tax Webinar will be offered as well.
Instruction is provided by experienced tax professionals including CPAs, Enrolled Agents, an attorney and others. The program provides 16 hours of continuing professional education credit (1 hour of ethics) for public accountants, CPAs and Enrolled Agents. Attorneys receive 12.9 hours (1 hour ethics) of continuing legal education and Certified Financial Planners receive 16 hours of continuing professional education.
Participants receive a printed copy and CD version of the 2016 National Income Tax Workbook. Rewritten annually, the text is designed to update tax professionals on recent changes in the income tax law area and to serve as a reference, with worksheets and other materials, to help with those tricky problems of your day-to-day tax practice.
For 2016, all 2-day programs will begin at 8:15 a.m. and end at 4:35 p.m. Registration will start at 7:45 a.m. on the first day at each site. In addition, an extra hour of Ethics will be available at all ten locations from 4:45-5:45 p.m. on the first day only. This will allow participants to receive two hours of CPE credit for Ethics during the two-day schools. The cost for the 2-day program will be $369 (or $329 if registered by October 24, 2016) and the cost for the additional hour of Ethics is $25.
