Purdue Student Pugwash Conference
April 7-8, 2017


We are pleased to host the 12th annual Purdue Student Pugwash Midwest Regional Conference titled “Space and Society: Governing the Galaxy” to be held on April 7-8, 2017! This year’s conference will focus on the social and ethical dimensions relating to current issues of space technology. Conference speakers will include but not limited to: keynote speaker Dr. Robert Zubrin, world-leading expert on Mars and Founder/CEO of Mars Society, Dr. Henry Melosh, Professor and renowned expert on impact cratering who will speak on “Asteroid Armageddon: The Human Response,” and Mr. Daniel Dumbacher, Professor and coveted Silver Snoopy Award recipient with 35-years of distinguished service at NASA. 

 Following the conference keynote on Saturday, April 8, there will be the Student Pugwash USA sponsored workshop series from 10am-5:30pm. The workshop series is by application only reserved for 8-12 selected students who will also receive a scholarship for completing a give-back activity.
