Description:
Purdue’s PMP® Exam Preparation online is designed for the experienced project manager, who wishes to build a comprehensive study plan, and wants to better understand the content of the PMP® Exam. This particular offering, based on the PMBOK® Guide, is a self-study, 100 percent online course. Your enrollment allows 90-day access to all of the course materials including lecture videos, worksheets/answer keys, and a variety of test-taking tips and strategies. Five WebEx sessions are also included to review some of the more difficult concepts in-depth, and presented live by your instructor.
PMP® Exam Preparation, an in-depth review course, is the second online course in this series after Project Management Essentials, offered by Purdue Engineering Online. This offering assumes you already meet the criteria necessary to qualify to take the exam. You must be an experienced project manager (minimum 3 years). Before you may qualify to take the PMP® Exam, PMI requires that you have at least 35 hours of project management education. This course assumes you are already familiar with the content of the PMBOK® Guide. If you feel like you need a refresher on the content of the PMBOK® Guide, taking the Project Management Essentials course first, is strongly suggested. For other prerequisites, please visit: PMI's Website for more detailed information on the PMP® exam, offered by Project Management Institute (PMI).
Upon successful completion of this course, you will earn 1.6 CEUs from Purdue University, equivalent to 16 contact hours. Students use this review and prep course as a strong starting point on the path towards studying and preparing to take the PMP® examination, a 200-question, multiple-choice test.
As a graduate of Purdue’s PMP® Exam Preparation course, you should have a firm understanding of the content of the exam, know where you need to study more, and have a study plan in place to get yourself prepared. Independent study following the two-course series is required to pass the PMP® exam.
