Building Agile Strategy for Healthcare’s Wicked Problems
Needs - This course will explore the nature of the changes we are experiencing in the healthcare landscape, including the underlying shifts that are driving our challenges. Understanding what it will take for leaders to deal effectively with the resulting wicked problems that emerge (with seemingly no good solutions), and highlighting changes we need to make personally and organizationally in our thinking, behaviors, the tools and skills we employ to collaboratively approach strategy and execution of solutions.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify and apply specific key factors to frame emerging leadership expectations in an increasingly dynamic healthcare landscape.
- Define wicked problems and apply key concepts for leadership decision making in a range of complexity domains
- Appraise and integrate critical concepts of agility to personal leadership, organizational behavior and culture to formulate directions for transformation and innovation
- Evaluate and apply key factors for team effectiveness
- Apply key factors shown to influence collaboration to the change process
- Examine teaming effectiveness essentials for building agility
- Evaluate approaches for integrating appreciative inquiry into the communication and strategy process
- Apply concepts of habit and behavior to personal strategies to target and execute strategic change initiatives
- Evaluate personal leadership practices to identify areas for personal and organizational development.
