COURSE DESCRIPTION
Description:
PHRM 10000 is a team-taught, asynchronous, online elective course offered to interested high school and college students. The course is one-credit hour for Purdue students and is offered as a zero-credit hour certificate course for non-Purdue students. The course introduces students to: the profession of pharmacy; the pharmaceutical sciences; and Purdue University College of Pharmacy. The topics presented in the course allow the students to develop informed perspectives on: career opportunities for pharmacists (PharmD graduates); career opportunities for Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Science (BSPS) graduates; the importance of professionalism; career development tools; and campus resources. This course involves weekly lectures with weekly written assignments due throughout the semester.
