To do more and better creative placemaking, we need to value and support the organizations and people who produce arts and cultural activities. In Healthier Cultural Ecosystems, you will get a deeper understanding of the web of relationships that allow artists and culture bearers to thrive. This class will explore internal relationships among organizations and people in cultural ecosystems – from financiers to patrons – and the external relationships that can significantly affect who and what succeeds. Each week we will engage with a foundational aspect of building
a Healthy Cultural Ecosystem which will support learners to develop their own Healthy Cultural Ecosystems to be presented in week 5 and discussed over the discussion boards. This course is entirely online.
Expected time to complete course: 3 to 5 hours per week
