Semiconductor Design 101 is a pioneering online course collaboratively developed by Prof. Muhammad Mustafa Hussain of Purdue University with academic contributions from Dr. Tahir Ghani of Intel Corporation, Prof. Suman Datta of Georgia Institute of Technology, Prof. Sayeef Salahuddin of University of California Berkeley, Dr. Lars Tatum of Applied Materials, Prof. Kaushik Roy of Purdue University, Prof. David Pan of the University of Texas at Austin, Prof. Subhasish Mitra of Stanford University and Prof. Subramanian Iyer of the University of California Los Angeles. Supported by Synopsys, the course builds on the global success of Semiconductor Fabrication 101 to deliver foundational and advanced knowledge in chip design. Through a 15-hour curriculum, learners will explore semiconductor principles, TCAD, design methodologies, testing and verification, EDA tools, Verification and Testing, Product Design Kits (PDKs) and Fabrication. Designed for accessibility and impact, this course offers joint certification from Synopsys and Purdue, equipping participants with the skills and recognition needed to launch or accelerate careers in the dynamic semiconductor sector.
