Course Description: Identifying the presence of protein in the urine of dogs and cats is nothing new to veterinarians. What is new, however, is recent evidence that we can use this knowledge to assess the efficacy of our treatments of animals with kidney disease or with high blood pressure. Using case examples, we will show how proteinuria provides us with far more information than was previously appreciated.
