Advanced Urban/Industrial IPM
Online 2016
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Description:
Building upon the basics covered in Introduction to Urban and Industrial IPM, the Advanced course was just revised in November, 2012 and emphasizes the continuing need to approach urban and industrial pest management problems with a true Integrated Pest Management (IPM) philosophy. The Advanced course assumes the student has significant experience in pest control, thus test questions are more difficult and a significant number of outside readings are required. You are expected to occasionally consult pest management textbooks, such as the Truman’s Scientific Guide to Pest Management Operations, 7th Edition, which is highly recommended and included in the purchase price below for three of the available options at the time of enrollment. The Mallis Handbook of Pest Control is an additional resource available from online vendors.
Open Enrollment
You may enroll at any time. You will have 18 months to complete the advanced course. You should expect to study three to five hours per lesson. If you cannot complete the course in 18 months, you may purchase a one-time, six-month extension for $50. Regardless of when it is purchased, the six-month extension begins the day after the course expires. This course is eligible to be transferred to another student if no lessons have been submitted for grading by correspondence. The original course expiration date will apply to the alternate student.
