Description:
This module is self-paced and asynchronous, which means that students can complete it whenever and wherever they choose, as long as they have internet access.
The program is delivered via Blackboard Learn and is immediately available. After registering, you will get an email with further instructions. Please look in your spam/junk mail if you do not get it soon after registering.
If you work in a hospital or school, make sure that you let your IT Team know to add us to your acceptable email list.
Depending on previous content knowledge, approximate time to complete would be 1/2 hour to 2 hours.
After satisfactory completion of the module, participants can download a personalized certificate of completion that will fulfill Indiana DOE's requirements for educator licensure. That file can be uploaded to LVIS as proof of completion.
Topics Include:
- Understanding youth suicide
- Recognizing warning signs
- Facilitating open conversations
- Connecting with resources
- Continuing education resources
- A printable certificate will be released within the course when completed successfully
