Maximizing Instruction in the 90-Minute Block

The Center for Literacy Education and Research (CLEAR) is offering a new professional development series designed to assist elementary teachers in Maximizing Instruction in the 90-Minute Block. In this series, participants will learn about management and organization to establish literacy-based classrooms with an emphasis of the Daily 5. Participants will learn about the research and components of guided reading/small group instruction, managing the rest of the class with meaningful literacy based activities, and record keeping (assessment, analysis of assessment, and determining when to move students). This is a great workshop to help understand how to manage and record the many ways teachers differentiate instruction to meet the needs of Response to Intervention (Rtl). This course consists of online self paced modules.
