Improved Citation and Integrity Practices with Turnitin
In this session, attendees will learn how Turnitin can assist instructors by comparing text in submitted assignments to a database of both student-submitted and published research papers, then producing a “similarity report” that highlights possible instances of plagiarism. Facilitators will also demonstrate how Turnitin can be used as a teaching tool, allowing students to submit rough drafts of assignments for automated feedback on grammar, spelling and citation practices that they can use to improve their work before grading.
This workshop is open to Purdue faculty, graduate students, and administration personnel.
