Description:
Course description: Forestry for the Birds is a self-paced online course designed for professional foresters and other conservation professionals. This course will equip foresters and conservation professionals with knowledge and skills to apply bird-friendly forestry techniques throughout the Central Hardwoods ecoregion. The course covers basics of forest ecology, forest bird ecology, management practices to enhance or create bird habitat, and an introduction into communication strategies to enhance relationships between landowners and foresters. At the end of the course, participants will receive a Bird-Friendly Forester certificate to highlight their experience in intentionally managing forests for birds.
Registration in this course is subject to the Purdue University Online Non-Credit Policies.
