Rx for Change- Clearing the Air: Helping Patients Quit Smoking and Vaping
Needs - This program will discuss the health consequences of tobacco use and vaping, compare the available FDA-approved medications for tobacco cessation, and address development of a treatment regimen for the cessation of vaping.
Audience - This activity is designed for pharmacists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers.
Learning Objectives - At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
1. Describe the health consequences of tobacco use and vaping.br />
2. Compare the available FDA-approved medication options for tobacco cessation.
3. Develop a treatment regimen that incorporates medications for vaping cessation, including drug, dose, route, frequency of administration, and monitoring.
