The Central Service Technical Training program is a comprehensive, online, self-study course in central service and sterile processing, designed to prepare central service, operating room, infection control, and material management employees to succeed on the HSPA examination and become Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST).
The course fee includes the HSPA 8th edition Central Service Technical Training Manual and one year of access to course materials. A six-month extension can be purchased if necessary.
The Workbook is not included in the course fee by default. All content in the workbook is included in the online course materials. If desired, select the workbook during checkout and the manual and workbook will be sent in one shipment.
A refund is available if requested within thirty (30) days. However if the online course is startedno refund will be offered. The refund does not include the shipping and handling cost, and materials must be returned in new condition.
To obtain your HSPA certification, 400-hours of on-site training in Central Service Technical Training is required. Purdue University is unable to directly help with this hands-on training. We recommend that you look in to where you might be able to earn these hours before enrolling in the course.
