Veterinary Nursing Distance Learning
Fall 2020- ETHOS
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Description:
Welcome to Veterinary Nursing
Registering for Veterinary Nursing courses is a multi-step process. Several items to consider are:
- Many classes in the program build upon knowledge learned in previous program classes. These previous classes are called pre-requisites. If you have not completed the correct pre-requisite class, you will not be allowed to register. You can find pre-requisites on the VN course request form.
- Most courses require a proctor. Proctors monitor students as they complete exams to ensure exam integrity. If you are not currently working in a veterinary practice, we recommend that you contact your veterinarian, explain your educational and career goals and ask them to proctor your exams. This gives you an opportunity to get to know people in the profession and potentially gain some clinical experience. Students may also utilize online proctoring for all VNDL course exams. Instructors may choose from a variety of online proctoring options and will communicate this information to you via the course syllabus. Some of the options may require a fee that will be paid by the student. For more information about the proctoring options go to Online Proctoring at Purdue.
- You are now ready to begin the process. To begin, you must submit a VN course request form on the next page. Completion of the form does not register you for classes. Once you have submitted the form, your academic advisor will review your selected courses. If there are questions, your advisor will contact you. The University will register you for the courses and you will receive notification that you may access your courses via Brightspace.
Registration in this course is subject to the Purdue University Online Non-Credit Policies.
