COURSE DESCRIPTION
Description:
IMPACT X Access is an asynchronous, online, professional development resource designed to help you think about the way in which you design a course, specifically within the Brightspace Learning Management System, with the overarching goal of creating flexible, student-centered learning environments.
IMPACT X Access contains all the content from our IMPACT X and X+ programs, as well as information for the fall including classroom maps/renderings and updates.
You are encouraged to review the content, reflect on your course elements, and consider how the information or strategies presented can influence the courses you teach.
This course is “non-facilitated,” meaning there will not be a facilitator actively monitoring the discussion boards or providing feedback; however, you are welcome to engage with each other to share ideas and provide feedback in an online learning community.
The following five main topics are covered in both X and X+:
Module 1: Creating a Student-Centered Learning Environment
Module 2: Creating Learning Outcomes and Objectives
Module 3: Creating Assessments and Grading in Brightspace
Module 4: Connecting the Dots: Design and Develop in Brightspace
Module 5: Drawing it all Together: Course Delivery Structure, Schedule, and Syllabus in Brightspace
